Forty-four percent of online shoppers worldwide surveyed in autumn 2022 reported that delivery options were the primary cause of cart abandonment. Delivery options encompass the availability of preferred delivery methods, providers, as well as delays in delivery. Payment options were the second most cited reason for incomplete e-commerce purchases, with 40 percent of shoppers reporting this inconvenience.
