By 2022, there will be a shift in the frequency of cyber incidents across Canada in terms of the actors involved as compared to the previous year.

An October 2021 survey of Canadian tech and security executives found that more than 30 percent of respondents expected a significant increase in cyber attacks from cyber criminals in 2022.

According to the same survey, 33 percent of the respondents said cyber threats involving past employees would increase.
